After taking some very needed time off this week, I can honestly say that I feel so much better. My week started with loose plans to get some things done. I had several appt's that I either missed or cancelled probably on purpose. I didn't want to overbook myself since my line of work revolves around appt's. It's amazing what a few days away from the world has done for me. I've had mixed feeling about where I'm at at this point in my life and where I'm going. I needed time to rethink and figure out what steps I need to take to align my life. Of course I didn't completely figure it out but at least my mind is clear enough to move forward. I've had some awesome and deep conversations with a few friends that have both brought up lost memories and assisted me in centering my core. I hope I didn't scare them away because they mean the world to me. (ribbit)
On Friday during the day, I received a call from a friend. She wanted to invite me to happy hour to celebrate a friend's birthday. She hadn't even finished asking me when I replied YES!!! Oh, this was exactly what I needed to end my week. We drove to a place in Scottsdale to meet a few other people there. I'm not a drinker but I will have a cocktail or two or three or four or five (just kidding) on special occasions. I am a social, moderate, watered down, need to know what I'm doing, no you can't have my number cause I'm not drunk kinda drinker. I started off with the girliest of drinks...A pina colada and ended with a apple martini or to those experienced drinkers appletini. Lol! We absolutely had a blast!!!
One more thing... As I was writing this blog I got a package in the mail. I came from my best friend who lives in Minnesota. How ironic that even if we are miles away and only talk a few times a year, she knows that I am going through some challenges. In my package she sent me a DVD titled "Your future starts today", a CD set titled "Put on the new you" and a a card of encouragement. I'm speechless.
Friends like that are awesome! I have my Tiffany who is like that. With such different lives... I am a mom and wife and she is a wife, employee, student... we still find time for eachother every once in a while. And she is always thinking of me.

Your weekend couldn't have been complete. Umm taco run was missing from it. But alas sounds like the rest of it was a blast, including being at a certain park at 7:00 a.m
