Los Angeles

I don't know what it was, but I had the best vacation ever!! It was not to an exotic far away place, I spent it in Los Angeles. 2010 has been filled with many new experiences for me and this trip was a new experience. First, this was my first vacation without the hubby. I had to drive back and forth and in between all by myself (and my kids). Well.... my Sprint GPS helped me out a little... ok ALOT!!! Of course my GPS is a woman and a good one too except she did take me the long way once, but I forgave her because eventually, she got us to our destination.

My plans on this vacation was to relax, enjoy the weather and catch up with friends.... I accomplished all of them! On the drive from Phoenix to L.A, we listened to all types of music and I took advantage to practice my "hand in the air" or "fist pumping" dance move. It's not anything fancy but if you pump it the right way, you can pretty much do it to all types of music (ask Alex, she knows).

Of course the weather was perfect everyday. The traffic on the other hand takes

away from the beautiful weather, but I didn't let that stop me. My first stop was to visit my childhood friend Nancy. She gave me directions to her house and I quickly punched it into my GPS. I'm just surprised how quickly I became a tourist after leaving California. (Yes, I don't know how to get around as easily anymore.) After a few bad turns (she's a woman, remember), I arrived at her home. I've been keeping in touch with her on facebook, but it was nice to see her in person. Nancy is part of a dear family that I love very much, but had neglected for a few years. I don't want to count how many years because I will be very ashamed of myself. She told her older sister Lupe I was in town and since she wanted to see me too, she came... even with a trunk full of groceries! I had such a good time catching up, I didn't want the night to end. I promised not to let sooo much time pass until I visited again (cross my heart) especially because of the good margarita Nancy made me!!

The rest of the week, I spent doing lots of other stuff...

I met up with my best friend from Jr. High school. What a beautiful woman! I love her and her blunt ways! And she has a gorgeous son!! We may end up being each other's suegras. lol!

I also got a visit from Joe. We used to box each other when we were little. Yeah, I used to win ;)

We also went to the beach, it was perfect especially cause we buried some guy.

I ate sooo much it's not even funny! but oh it was worth it!
